About the Teacher Education Program

The University of Wisconsin–River Falls Montessori Programs prepare educators to integrate Montessori philosophy with current research and reflective practice. Designed for working adults, our programs offer flexible, hybrid learning formats that combine summer on-campus experiences with online coursework in the fall and spring.
Through our Montessori Credential Program (MCP) and the MSE+ pathway, credentialed Montessori educators can earn a Master of Science in Education by applying their existing MACTE credential or diploma toward a graduate degree. Our Ed.D. in Montessori Studies provides advanced research and leadership preparation for educators seeking to contribute to the growth of Montessori education nationally and globally.
UWRF Montessori programs emphasize the Prepared Environment, virtue-centered education, and collaborative professional community. Students learn from university faculty and nationally recognized Montessori leaders in a supportive and engaging academic setting.
Training sites are located in River Falls, Wisconsin, and Utah, with online and hybrid delivery options available.
