AMS DEI Scholarship Information

• AMS DEI Scholarships offer both financial need and merit-based funding towards program fees only. Scholarship awards are based on available funds.
• To be considered for a scholarship you must meet the requirements of your selected program.
• Scholarship awards are debited to the awardee’s AMS account and not paid directly to them.
• Qualifications and program acceptance if applicable will be verified by AMS staff prior to DEI scholarship Committee review.
• Prior scholarship recipients will not be considered for additional funding within a three-year period.

Scholarship Timeline

• The scholarship application is due according to the timeline of the program you are applying for.

Submission Guidelines

• Please only submit the requested documentation.
• International applicants must follow the guidelines as set forth on the Financial Information page; in the case of a need-based request, proof of income is required. All documents must be submitted in English or include English translations.
• All communications between applicants and the AMS office are handled through email; therefore, a valid email address must be included in the application.

Priority Attention Will be Given to Montessori Educators Who:

• Are of color and/or from under-resourced populations, including LGBTQIA+ and developing nations
• Are disabled
• Are members of a protected class under State or Federal law
• Work in Montessori TEPs and/or schools serving racially diverse communities and/or under-resourced populations
• Show exceptional leadership potential working in public Montessori settings
• Are adult learners, especially those who are in any way disenfranchised, such as economically, racially, religiously, socially, geographically, or politically
