Step One: Request an application packet, contactamtep@gmail.com
Step Two: Please submit the following items : ● completed application forms ● a resume ● two professional references ● one personal (non-relative) reference ● a personal essay stating why you wish to be a Montessori teacher and what personal attributes will contribute to your success in the field (250 words) ● two official sets of college transcripts showing highest degree (bachelor’s degree is minimum for an AMS credential).
Step Three: Schedule an interview with a coordinator
Step Four: For individuals with an E-I credential who plan to take the E-II continuation, please submit the following in addition to the items listed above: ● a copy of E-I credential (or document showing completion of Montessori Elementary-I academics) from a MACTE-accredited program.
Step Five: Following the interview, the director will review the required items as listed above and make a decision regarding admission. Applications are due by May 15 and notification of acceptance will be made by May 20.

From the Organization

The Arizona Montessori Teacher Education Program prepares Montessori educators to take their place in classrooms and in the larger Montessori community, and to learn as their students will learn. Our program was created in 2016. Our instructors were members of a previous teacher education program in the Phoenix area, as well as other TEPs, and have joined together to offer Montessori to a new generation of teachers and children.
