From the Organization
The Washington Market School (WMS) is a non-profit, independent preschool serving the Tribeca community for nearly 50 years. We offer thoughtfully designed half and full day programs for children ages 2-5. Our curriculum blends Montessori and Reggio-Emilia philosophies, celebrating children’s innate curiosity and limitless capacity for absorbing new skills. In a typical day, children participate in independent work time, studio classes, group meetings, and gross-motor activities. At WMS, we offer a range of parent education initiatives designed to support and empower families, as well as a comprehensive and collaborative exmissions process.
