Laura Flores Shaw

Laura Flroes Shaw, EdD (she/her), is an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins School of Education, where she teaches and advises in the online doctor of education program. Her research focuses on Montessori education as well as neurobiological differences using an embodied and whole-brain approach to cognition and the neurodiversity paradigm. Dr. Shaw has spoken around the world to Montessori parents, teachers, administrators, and trainers. Prior to joining Hopkins, Dr. Shaw was head of an AMI-recognized Montessori school in Pasadena, California, which her two children attended through fifth and seventh grade.
