About AMS Member Schools

While every AMS member school operates independently of our organization, by joining, it becomes a part of the larger Montessori community and can take advantage of the services we offer. Each member school is unique and will vary, from program levels served to curricular and extracurricular offerings, and more. We encourage you to visit and see for yourself.

About the School

Kingwood Montessori School develops confident passionate learners, immersed in a challenging academic environment, with an emphasis on peace, diversity, and respect. We empower today’s problem solvers to be tomorrow’s leaders. We provide Montessori education for children in Toddlers with ASL (18-months to 3 years), Early Childhood (3-5 years), Lower Elementary (1st – 3rd Grade), and Upper Elementary (4th to 6th Grade). Kingwood Montessori was founded in 2007 based on the Montessori Method created by Maria Montessori over 100 years ago. The Method is a comprehensive and rigorous university-prep pedagogy, based on a focused observation of your child, and responding to his or her specific needs. Your child will make work choices and personal discoveries; cultivate concentration, intrinsic motivation, self-discipline, and a love of learning under the guidance of Montessori trained teachers and education professionals in an academically rich environment. Languages, music, the arts, physical education, and technology are all included in our STEAM provision and are an integral part of the curriculum. The Montessori Method peacefully shows children how to be responsible for themselves and their environment. Children are inspired to live out their Cosmic Purpose in service of World and for the common good.
