About AMS Member Schools
While every AMS member school operates independently of our organization, by joining, it becomes a part of the larger Montessori community and can take advantage of the services we offer. Each member school is unique and will vary, from program levels served to curricular and extracurricular offerings, and more. We encourage you to visit and see for yourself.
About the School
Since 2000, CHMS has provided young learners with a high-quality Montessori education in a safe, caring, fun, and stimulating environment that honors the unique talents of each child and nurtures a lifelong love of learning. CHMS’s core values are the embodiment of its mission. At CHMS, we live our core values every day: practicing safety, strengthening community, adhering to Montessori principles, and building character.
CHMS’s Arlington campus is located in the Old Dominion community, along Old Dominion Drive and serves children aged 2–6, across toddler and preschool classrooms. Our Arlington location includes five large classrooms that overlook one of the largest fenced in private school playgrounds in Arlington County, all on a one-acre campus.
CHMS Montessori Guides are a qualified, diverse group of professional educators who draw on Montessori credential training, classroom experience, and a commitment to professional growth. CHMS graduates are equipped with tools and lessons for their next educational chapter. CHMS graduates who enter Kindergarten and 1st grade are often seen as leaders, student helpers, and peacemakers. Early childhood education at CHMS goes beyond creating a strong academic foundation, to develop proactive, empathetic, and prosocial graduates prepared for the future.
