About AMS-Affiliated Programs

AMS-affiliated teacher education programs provide comprehensive courses of study that prepare adult learners to be highly qualified Montessori educators. While each TEP is unique, with its own academic schedule and tuition, all are rigorously designed based on AMS standards, with the goal of ensuring that you will receive the necessary education for entry into practice at your chosen level. Fully affiliated course levels have received or maintained AMS affiliation by meeting all AMS standards and requirements. Those at the Applicant Affiliate level have been reviewed and accepted by the Teacher Education Action Commission (TEAC), and are awaiting approval by the AMS Board of Directors, which grants full affiliation.

About the TEP

Eagle Montessori Teaching Academy was founded in 2022 by Spring Education Group to provide quality Montessori Early Childhood teacher education. While the work and life of Dr. Maria Montessori is the inspiration for our teaching academy, it is the educators from the Montessori schools under the Spring Education Group umbrella – Evergreen Academy, LePort Montessori, and Montessori Academy Idaho – that provide the expertise for this endeavor. Our faculty come from different backgrounds and Montessori training traditions, but we find common ground in shared ideas about education, our culture of learning, and joyful dedication to achievement. In coming together, we forge modern and innovative ways to expand the Montessori learning environment while respecting the rich history and philosophy of the Montessori Method. As we launch our inaugural training cohort, Eagle Montessori Teaching Academy is proud to work in close partnership with Evergreen Academy, LePort Montessori, and Montessori Academy Idaho. These three school brands represent 14 Montessori schools across California, Idaho, and Washington state, with a commitment to Montessori pedagogy, and countless years of experience. LePort Montessori is based in Southern California and offers Montessori programs for students aged 12 weeks – 14 years old. Montessori Academy Idaho is based in Boise, Idaho offers Montessori programs for students aged 6 weeks – 12 years old. Evergreen Academy is based outside of Seattle, Washington and offers Montessori programs for children aged 6 weeks – 6 years old.
