AMS & AMI/USA Release Social Justice Publication

As leaders of the world’s two most impactful Montessori organizations—the American Montessori Society and the Association Montessori International/USA (which represents the Association Montessori Internationale in the United States)—we are thrilled to share with you a publication we co-created for you, our members. Collaborating on this resource was a unique opportunity for us to come together in honor of Dr. Maria Montessori as we approach her 150th birthday anniversary on August 31, 2020.

The publication, Montessori Collaborative World Review: The Montessori Roots of Social Justiceprovides a multi-perspective exploration of the Montessori roots of social justice—from adolescent education as a key to social change, to the challenges and dreams of Montessori in South Africa, to selecting anti-bias children’s books, and everything in between. The manifold voices—there are nearly 40 authors representing a variety of affiliations—bring not only depth of thought, but also breadth.

We hope you will enjoy it, and that it will support the inspired work you do every day as you bring peace and harmony to your classrooms, your communities, and our planet.
