Celebrating 150 Years of Maria Montessori: Quotable Conversations
Wednesday, December 4 at 7:00 PM (ET)
Cost: Free, registration required

In these town hall conversations we’ll celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Montessori by exploring what her writing means to us. We’ll discuss one of her well-known quotes and talk about how we can apply it to our practices today and what it means in the broader pedagogy of Montessori education. This informal online conversation will be facilitated by Josh Shanklin, AMS director of learning & professional development, and will provide an opportunity to reflect on core Montessori philosophy, while connecting with fellow educators from around the world.

Our quote for December 4 is…

“The real preparation for education is the study of one's self. The training of the teacher who is to help life is something far more than the learning of ideas. It includes the training of character; it is a preparation of spirt.”—Maria Montessori, The Absorbent Mind
