Are you curious about how Montessori education shapes the future of learning? Do you want to share your insights with a global audience of educators, researchers, and changemakers?
Now through November 14, 2025, we invite you to submit a proposal for the Research Poster Session at The Montessori Event 2026, happening March 19-22, 2026, in Washington, D.C., with opportunities to present both online and in person.
What We’re Looking For
Proposals will be reviewed for:
- Grounding in Scholarly Literature – clear situating of the study within existing research.
- Focused Research Question(s) – precise, answerable questions aligned with Montessori practice or philosophy.
- Methodological Rigor – appropriate, transparent description of design, participants, data collection, and analysis.
- Contribution to Montessori Education – clear articulation of how findings inform theory, practice, or policy.
- Connection to Future Directions – implications for innovation, equity, or global educational challenges.
- Clarity and Concision – succinct presentation of the research narrative.
Accepted posters receive one complimentary registration to The Montessori Event.
Example Proposal Structure
Submissions should include a 500–700-word abstract organized as follows:
- Title – Concise and descriptive.
- Introduction & Purpose – Context, significance, and research question(s).
- Theoretical Framework & Literature Review – Key scholarship grounding the study.
- Methodology – Design, participants, data sources, and analytic approach.
- Findings / Preliminary Results – Major themes, patterns, or statistical outcomes.
- Discussion & Implications – Relevance to Montessori education and broader educational scholarship.
- Future Directions – How this research points toward next steps in policy, practice, or inquiry.
- References – APA format preferred.
