From the Organization
The Montessori Institute of McLean (MIM) is sponsored by the Montessori School of McLean (MSM). Since 1973, MSM has educated children in the Montessori Method. The Montessori Institute of McLean was formed to provide Montessori teacher education to adult learners. MIM is supported by an excellent faculty who have many years of experience teaching children and adults.
The Montessori Institute of McLean was founded under the auspices of Montessori School of McLean in 2022 after a recognition of the strong need for a quality teacher education program in Northern Virginia. MSM, along with MIM, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. MIM opened its doors to serve new Montessori adult learners in June of 2023 for its inaugural class of students. Most students will be from schools located in Maryland and Virginia.
