There’s a unique experience in being around people who not only understand what you do but also why you do it.
Across schools, classrooms, teacher training programs, leadership roles, and communities, Montessori educators share a deep commitment to children and to creating environments where they can explore, grow, and succeed. However, in our daily routines, we often have limited chances to step beyond our individual roles and connect with the broader Montessori community.
This is why we come together at The Montessori Event.
We Gather to Learn From One Another
Montessori education is rooted in observation, reflection, and continuous learning—and that spirit extends beyond the classroom.
When we come together, so do diverse perspectives, experiences, and ideas. An educator may discover a new approach to bring back to the classroom. A school leader may hear a perspective that reshapes how they support families and faculty members. A new guide may find guidance from someone who has spent decades pouring into the movement.
Some of the most meaningful learning happens simply because we are together—asking questions, exchanging ideas, sharing what has worked, and being open and honest about what we are still working to understand.
Some of the greatest people from all over the world converge here! And it is about networking and connectivity that we have with each other, and I am thrilled to connect with other Montessorians, people who are here to change the world.

We Gather to Build Community
Our work can look different depending on where we practice it, but no Montessori educator does this work alone. Gathering reminds us of the gift of being surrounded by community.
It shows up in conversations between sessions, introductions that become professional relationships, unexpected reunions with an old colleague or teacher, and the moment you meet someone whose experience mirrors your own.
These connections matter. They strengthen our individual work and the Montessori community as a whole.
We Gather to Be Inspired
Sometimes we all just need to reconnect with what brought us to this work in the first place to reignite our sense of inspiration and purpose. Being surrounded by people who share a commitment to the Montessori philosophy can remind us of that.
We hear stories from educators doing meaningful work in their communities. We encounter new ideas that challenge how we think. We celebrate the creativity and dedication of those committed to advancing the Montessori movement. And we leave with new possibilities for what we can create in our own schools and communities.
We all happily bring inspiration home after The Montessori Experience.
I love the Montessori Event. Each year it just brings back the joy that started my teaching career.

We Gather to Advance the Future of Montessori
Gathering is not only about celebrating success in the Montessori community but also about imagining the places we can go.
The challenges facing children, families, educators, and schools continue to evolve. Meeting them requires conversation, collaboration, and a willingness to learn from one another.
When we gather, we create space to ask the important questions: How can we better serve today’s children and families? How can we strengthen and support Montessori educators? How can we expand access to Montessori education? What challenges in today’s world could affect our schools? And how can we continue building a Montessori community where more people feel welcome, valued, and connected?
Those conversations begin with small ideas that inspire action, and that action can shape what comes next for all of us.
This is Why We Gather
The Montessori Event is a special occasion that extends beyond just a few days on the calendar, creating a memorable experience for everyone in attendance.
It is a chance to experience the strength of this community in one place.
At The Montessori Event 2027, Montessori educators, school leaders, teacher educators, and community members will come together to learn, connect, reflect, celebrate, and imagine what is possible.
When the Montessori community comes together, we don’t simply leave with new information. We leave with new relationships, new ideas, renewed purpose, and a reminder that the work in our individual classrooms and communities is part of something much larger.
That is the power of gathering. And we can’t wait to gather with you in Chicago, March 2027. Registration is now open.
