“How we eat can change the world.” —Alice Waters, chef, activist, founder of the Edible Schoolyard

Learn how to create, sustain, and/or expand an organic kitchen garden program, a delicious and healthy way to motivate interest in math, culture, language, and science. We’ll discuss gardening, soil science, the cultivation of annuals and perennials, composting, and a wealth of inspiring curriculum ideas.

Mara Fulk

Mara Fulk is an administrator at Center Montessori School, in Bradenton, FL. AMI-credentialed (Early Childhood).

Jayne Cobb

Jayne Cobb is a lead Upper Elementary teacher at Center Montessori School, in Bradenton, FL. The head of the Edible School Garden Committee of Slow Food Sarasota, she is a graduate of the Edible Schoolyard Academy in Berkeley, CA. AMS-credentialed (Elementary I–II).
