Independent Child Montessori

Independent Child Montessori School is the perfect alternative to educating the masses. It focuses on the individual child, letting them explore and learn at their own pace. It increases internal motivation and naturally creates independence as well as a sense of accomplishment in the child. Our Mission is to inspire a lifelong love of learning and guide children on the road to independence, respect for self, and respect for others through Montessori principles. We are a small, woman-owned business. Throughout the years Roen, our founder, followed her love for children, her passion for teaching, and her education which led to her opening her own Montessori school in St. Joseph, MO. She has over 17 years of experience, a BS in child psychology, a MS in elementary education, and a Montessori teaching certificate for the 3-6 primary classroom. She prides herself on creating an environment where teachers and students respect each other and the world around them.
