Advertising Policy

The American Montessori Society (AMS) will not accept advertising for liquor, tobacco, violent toys, sexually explicit items, or other products in conflict with AMS policies or values. AMS reserves the right to reject advertisements that do not meet this policy or the disclaimers below. AMS reserves the right to approve all copy.

AMS requires that advertisers for teacher education programs be AMS-affiliated at the time of contracting, and remain as such during the contract period; or in the affiliation process, meeting specified AMS criteria.

Any advertiser not fulfilling their agreement is subject to 100% “short rates,” payable to the American Montessori Society before the end of the contract period. For Montessori Life magazine, this period starts with the Spring issue and ends with the Winter issue. Cancellation must be emailed prior to the published agreement deadline for the issue(s) involved.
