Dr. Marlene Barron Innovation & Dr. Kathy Roemer Research Fund
Honoring two trailblazing Montessori leaders, this fund advances the future of Montessori education through innovation and research. It supports groundbreaking initiatives, such as the Innovation Fellowship Think Tank, Labposium, and the Montessori Action Research Studio (MARS), as well as scholarly projects that expand the field’s knowledge base and have a measurable impact.

Community Engagement & Action Committee (CEAC) Fund
The CEAC Fund supports the AMS Community Engagement & Action Committee in advancing peace, humanitarianism, and global citizenship within the Montessori community. Your gift helps fund Peace Seed Grants, volunteer projects, and school-centered initiatives that foster understanding, compassion, and service. CEAC members lead efforts such as the Day of Service at The Montessori Event and ongoing collaborations that connect AMS members in meaningful action across communities.

AMS Living Legacy Scholarship Fund
Honoring AMS 2026 Living Legacy Meher Van Groenou, this fund provides teacher education scholarships that expand access to Montessori credentialing opportunities for Adult Learners enrolled in AMS-affiliated Teacher Education Programs (TEPs).

AMS Giving Communities
AMS giving communities are a way for us to recognize you, the donor. By making regular contributions to AMS, you signal your support for future generations of Montessori students and educators.
Circle of Friends
The AMS Circle of Friends is a dedicated giving community of donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually to AMS. Membership dues and registration fees sustain much of our work—but they cannot do it all. The Circle of Friends helps bridge the gap, fueling initiatives that bring the life-changing benefits of Montessori education to children, families, and educators worldwide.
AMS Planned Giving: The 1870 Society
Named for the year Dr. Maria Montessori was born, the 1870 Society honors those who help sustain AMS. Members support AMS’s long-term growth and stability through planned gifts, estate commitments, and direct contributions, ensuring that Montessori education thrives for generations.
