Curriculum Coaching Academy
The AMS Curriculum Coaching Academy offers an immersive experience, grounded in cosmic education principles. In preparation for a transition to guiding and improving adult classroom practices, we will focus on coaching and adult learning (androgogy) principles. The class itself models a spiral curriculum across four key areas that will prepare you for work as a curriculum coach or coordinator: Montessori philosophy, Montessori curriculum, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) and assessment.
Intro to Designing Online Classes
This online class outlines key elements of course design for TEP instructors. It balances an understanding of the pedagogy of online learning with practical applications in Canvas, our learning management system. Weekly assignments and activities will guide you through the process of designing an online class of your choice. You will end the class with a course plan and an understanding of introductory-level Canvas tools to consider as you develop your Canvas course. This primarily asynchronous class is cohort-based, so learners move through the class together week by week and engage in shared online discussion.
