The T.E.C. Schools: Think. Explore. Create.

The T.E.C. Schools “Think. Explore. Create.” is a private education model school for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8 and is based on Montessori principles with a focus on interdisciplinary science, technology, engineering, arts and math curriculum (STEAM). T.E.C. Elementary in Worcester is the first school, which opened its doors to students in September 2016. The Middle School program integrates the IB curriculum. The mission of The T.E.C. Schools is to cultivate children’s natural curiosity and educate them to reach their highest potential and become accomplished, moral, and intrinsically satisfied individuals. Using the scientific tools of education in a Montessori environment, students meet their intellectual, social, and emotional needs by engaging in hands-on, real-life experiences to prepare for life. Learning at the T.E.C. Schools is anchored by three key principles: Think, Explore, Create. Our environment hums with purposeful conversations among students engaged in hands-on Montessori activities. Teachers inspire students to think big and challenge them to achieve academic excellence. In a quest to find the optimal results, students pore over data to build and test scientific and engineering models. They work collaboratively with our community partners by applying academic skills to create meaningful solutions that improve their environment. Through our transformative learning experience students at T.E.C. develop a moral compass, which serves as a lifelong guide helping them to become contributing members of the world.
