As Montessori teachers, we have a keen understanding of the philosophy that drives our practice with infants and toddlers—but don’t always have the resources or confidence to share it effectively with parents. In this webinar, you will learn why home visits offer an excellent avenue for sharing information about Montessori philosophy. You will discover how to incorporate home visits into your school culture, how to use them to share information about Montessori, and how to utilize relationship-building techniques in ways that will help guide new families into your school community in a positive and productive way.

You will also learn how you can build upon the foundation set with home visits by sharing observations with families to further their understanding of the developmental principles that guide the culture within the Montessori environment.

Learner Outcomes

  • An appreciation for the importance of parent knowledge of Montessori principles and philosophy, and an ability to share such information with them)
  • An understanding of the purpose and execution of home visits
  • An understanding of why and how we share observations with parents
