Presenters: Dena AuCoin, MEd, and Connie Laufersky, MEd
For: Teachers of Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary students, and school administrators

Individual Rental Group Rental

This presentation is available for a 30-day rental via Vimeo On Demand, allowing you to view the webinar at any time, as often as you would like, within your rental period.

$55/individual (Certificate of Continuing Professional Development for 1 person)
$200/group (CPD certificates for up to 20 persons)

This webinar will look at 2 systems of proven efficacy in supporting students with special needs: Response to Intervention—a systemic, multi-tiered, individualized approach—and student support teams. All content will be specific to the Montessori environment from the perspective of both a Montessori-trained administrator/former teacher and a teacher trained in special education.

You will come away with an understanding of:

  • What Response to Intervention is, and why it is essential to student support
  • How you can implement a Response to Intervention process in your classroom or school
  • What student support teams are, how you can create them, and how they can help
  • How to compile and apply behavioral/academic/observational data at each step

You will also learn of one school’s journey to develop both a student support team and a Response to Intervention process that follows the principles of the Montessori environment.

In addition, you will be given access to a variety of resources and tools that you can implement immediately in your own learning environment.
