Daydreamers, Drafters, Drifters, and Doers: Part 2
Presenter: Rosemary Quaranta
For: Early Childhood, Elementary I, and Elementary II Teachers. We welcome both those who attended Part 1 of our Daydreamers, Drafters, Drifters, and Doers webinar and those who did not.
CPD Hours: 1.5
In this webinar, we will continue the discussion started in Part 1 of the 2-part series about the 4 D’s: Daydreamers, Drafters, Drifters, and Doers. That is, the children in our classrooms who are not engaged, wander the room, daydream, tag along with other children without ever stepping out and leading, and quickly go through the materials to “check them off the list.” We will discuss the many strengths of the 4 D’s and identify ways to change the environment and yourself to support their learning and enable them to use necessary tools to be independent learners.
You will learn how to:
- How to engage children who are struggling with staying on task.
- How to inspire children in a way that will enable them to love learning.
- How to teach children to lead and not allows follow.
- How to rethink your environment when working with daydreamers, drafters, drifters, and doers.
- How to teach students differently according to who they are.
