AMS Awards $3,000 in Research Mini-Grants

The AMS Mini-Grants program was created to encourage research that brings fresh insight to Montessori education. We are pleased to recognize the recipients of the Spring 2018 awards, and we wish them the best of luck in their continued work:

Sarah Hassebroek, EdS, St. Catherine University, $1,000
“Upholding Montessori in a Public School Setting: A study of Montessori teachers self-efficacy beliefs”

Elizabeth Park, PhD, Chaminade University of Honolulu, $1,000
“Online Teaching and Learning Survey for Montessori Educators”

Hanako Shimamura, Doctoral Candidate, University of Oxford, $1,000
“Executive Function, Social-Emotional Skills, and Academic Achievement: Effectiveness of Preschool Programmes”

Collectively, they were awarded $3,000 in AMS funding.

Our next cycle of research mini-grants will be for Fall 2018.
