AMS seeks a Web Services Associate. The Web Services Associate position supports both IT and Marketing in administering internet and network based systems that facilitate member services. Responsibilities of the associate position span clerical duties, project management, and technical communication with staff and members.

IT Responsibilities

  • Coordinate web and database edits across departments
  • Work cooperatively with key vendors
  • Oversee and track use of web and database development retainer hours
  • Develop a master project and maintenance calendar for all web and database projects
  • Create weekly progress reports on key tasks
  • Perform quality assurance tests on all new web and database work
  • Create and update documentation for database and content management system processes
  • Maintain and clean member information in the organization's database
  • Administer and troubleshoot web-based member services, such as the list server, forum and webinar platform
  • Provide customer support for issues related to the AMS website
  • Provide backup end user support for AMS staff and perform limited system administration on office systems and equipment

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Update and format web content via the Sitecore content management system
  • Manage and maintain digital assets
  • Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference
  • Prepare mailing lists via database queries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Either a college degree in or work experience with computer and information systems or web development
  • An understanding of the relationship between a website and database and the basic concepts of each
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office, databases and content management systems, specifically Sitecore
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, CSS, or Adobe Photoshop a plus

The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and multitasking skills, is highly detail-oriented, and enjoys exploring and examining new technology and software.
