AMS Office Temporarily Closed Due to Hurricane Sandy

With Hurricane Sandy closing in on the East Coast, NY Governor Cuomo has ordered that all mass transit systems be shut down. As a result, the AMS office will be closed Monday, October 29. A determination about the October 30 workday is still to be made.

AMS Board Updates Decision on Professional Development Requirements for Teachers

A record 58 volunteers completed the training for AMS school accreditation team members in fiscal year 2012 (June 30, 2011 – July 1, 2012). Their participation on accreditation teams, along with the participation of AMS staffers Marie Conti and Sara Wilson, was vital to the process that resulted in AMS accreditation for 21 schools. We extend our thanks and appreciation to each and every one.
