Montessori Life Staff & Editorial Advisory Board
Each issue of Montessori Life is born of a careful collaboration between the American Montessori Society, the Montessori Life staff, and the Editorial Advisory Board.
Montessori Life Staff
Co-editors Kathy Carey and Carey Jones steer the Montessori Life ship, which consists of a small but dedicated crew of editors, designers, and advertising support.
Kathy Carey, MAT. In addition to performing her duties as co-editor of Montessori Life, Kathy is professor of Family Services and Child Development at Rose State College in Midwest City, OK, and adjunct professor at the Montessori Teacher Education Program, Oklahoma City University.
Carey Jones. Working as co-editor of Montessori Life is part of a diverse professional life for Carey; she also works as a freelance writer, editor, and chef in the San Francisco Bay area.
Additional support for Montessori Life comes from Michele Eldon, director of advertising; Brenda Modliszewski, copy editor. Art direction is by Pentagram Austin.
Montessori Life Editorial Advisory Board
The Editorial Advisory Board is composed of credentialed Montessori teachers and teacher educators and members of the broader educational community. These individuals were selected for their expertise in specific areas, qualifying them to advise the editors on matters of journalistic relevance, review manuscripts that fit their particular qualifications, and supplement and reinforce the knowledge of the editors.
