Acceptable Use Policy
Subscribers are accountable for their submissions to AMS ListServers. In subscribing to our ListServers, all participants implicitly agree to abide by our Acceptable Use Policy. Anyone found in violation of the Policy will be contacted by an AMS representative and, if warranted, removed from the subscriber list.
AMS ListServers provide a forum for subscribers to discuss relevant items of interest, and to share ideas, resources, and information. If participants share information about open employment positions in their schools or programs, we request that they post the same information in our Employment Center, where it can be publically accessed.
The following are not permitted on American Montessori Society ListServers:
- Illegal activities such as unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material, fraud, and transmitting obscene material
- Sending unsolicited bulk e-mail (spam)
- Selling or advertising products or services
- Abusive or offensive content
- Fundraising for political entities or candidates.
Identifying such material is at the sole discretion of AMS. Any subscriber found to be in violation of this policy will be removed from the ListServer without warning or compensation.
Content submitted to the ListServer is not reviewed and is normally sent to all subscribers within minutes. Because of this, neither AMS nor the ListServer host, NetworkATS, has control of or is legally liable for violations of this policy. Subscribers are responsible for determining whether their submitted content violates any applicable laws.
AMS may close the ListServer(s) due to technical or strategic considerations without cause, warning, or compensation to subscribers.
