Leadership Development Committee
The Leadership Development Committee (LDC) identifies, encourages, and cultivates new leadership among AMS members. The committee also assists in providing leadership training.
Each fall, the LDC recommends individuals to the Directorship Committee for consideration as candidates for the AMS Board of Directors.
The LDC includes at least 4 AMS board directors and a representative from the School Accreditation Commission. Also sitting on the committee are representatives from geographically diverse public and independent schools. These members are selected by the LDC committee.
The LDC chair is appointed by the president of the AMS board.
