In this webinar you’ll learn strategies for teaching conflict-resolution skills to children. The presentation will address the needs of socially diverse classrooms, and how best to craft your peace lessons for children who have not yet developed strong concepts of tolerance, respect, and acceptance. Drawing from Dr. Montessori’s Education and Peace and other texts, you will be provided with activities that lay the foundation of peace education, encourage peaceful and productive communications, and draw out the child’s innate sense of empathy.

Special focus will be given to helping students develop an awareness of their personal self and their place in the global community, and pivoting that awareness into peaceful conflict resolution.

In this webinar you will learn how to:

  • Share concrete examples of conflict-resolution skills
  • Develop a sense of community within your classroom
  • Establish the importance of peace as a foundation to learning
  • Involve parents in the concepts of peaceful communication and non-violent conflict resolution

This webinar is highly recommended for both educators currently crafting their peace curriculum and educators with existing peace curriculum.
