Day of Service with the San Diego River Park Foundation

Thursday, March 9 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Spend a day outdoors serving the local San Diego community by cleaning areas of formerly pristine beaches that have suffered degradation. You’ll remove invasive plants, repair trails, and remove trash from Dog Beach, at the mouth of the San Diego River. In addition to your service, you’ll learn about the endangered eco-system of the estuary, and the preservation efforts of the San Diego River Park Foundation.

Volunteers are asked to dress for working outdoors; the foundation will provide all the tools you need for your work. No experience is necessary—the only requirement is a willingness to help restore this area, which serves many critical functions for marine and freshwater aquatic species, birds, mammals, and more, to its native health and beauty.

Price: $20
Includes transportation from/to the Town & Country Resort and lunch.
