Enhance your understanding of an iconic and unique Montessori material: the Impressionistic Geography Charts. This double-session workshop will present the rationale and underlying theories behind impressionistic materials. You’ll learn how the charts and their lessons are organized, see every one of the 60 charts, discover how they fit into the Montessori curriculum—and gain an appreciation of imagination-based instruction.
About the Presenter
Michael Dorer, EdD, is program director for the Center for Contemporary Montessori Programs at St. Catherine University, in St. Paul, MN. He is also program director for the Institute for Montessori Innovation at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. A former president of AMS, Michael has taught in Montessori classrooms at every level from Infant & Toddler through Secondary I. I. AMS-credentialed (Early Childhood, Elementary I,); AMI-credentialed (Elementary I-II).
