Hands-On Art: An Introduction to Printmaking

Thursday, March 22 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Presenter: Julie Karlonas

Target Audience: All

Relief printmaking is a dynamic process, suitable for children of many ages, that utilizes a variety of easily accessible materials. In this hands-on workshop, you will have the opportunity to create 6 different types of relief prints: monotypes, reductive monotypes, monotypes with stencils, foam plate printing, collagraphs, and gyotaku (traditional Japanese fish prints). Even if you have no prior artistic experience, you’ll leave this workshop with a diverse portfolio and the confidence to share the printmaking process with your students.
