Talk to experts who can guide your current or potential action research projects in university and non-university Montessori teacher certification programs. We’ll begin with an overview of essential action research components and several case studies, after which you’ll be able to choose a specialized table talk to discuss your ideas or get help determining how action research might fit into your teacher education program or school.

About the Presenters

Gay Ward

Gay Ward, PhD, is professor emerita and adjunct instructor at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, co-chair of the AMS Research Committee, and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Montessori Research. AMS-credentialed (Elementary I).

Melina Papadimitriou

Melina Papadimitriou, MEd, is director of the University of Wisconsin–River Falls Montessori Graduate Teacher Education Program, a public school consultant, and a board member of the Wisconsin Montessori Association. AMS-credentialed (Elementary I–II). Montessori-credentialed (Early Childhood).

Cate Epperson

Cate Epperson, MAT, is assistant director of Hope Montessori Educational Institute, in Lake Saint Louis, MO. She is a doctoral candidate in Transformative Learning in the Global Community at Webster University. AMS-credentialed (Infant & Toddler, Early Childhood).
