The Magic of Performing Shakespeare

Friday, March 23 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM

Presenters: Larry Schanker, Laurie Stockton-Moreno

Target Audience: Elementary I, Elementary II

When children perform Shakespeare, they discover inner strengths, transform themselves, and emerge as more powerful beings. In this participatory workshop, you’ll explore how to guide Elementary students to understand Shakespearean verse and its essential truths. This Montessori-aligned methodology introduces public speaking, brings the children into nature through outdoor performances, and fosters creativity, collaboration, patience, and generosity.
