This panel discussion on death and loss will address supporting school communities from the inside—teachers, staff, and students—and the outside—parents, community members, and friends of the school. Topics will include self-care, professional preparation, pastoral community care, student support resources, timelines of support, communication tools, and special considerations.

Julie Bragdon

Julie Bragdon, MEd, is assistant head of Montessori School of Denver, CO, a member of the AMS Board of Directors, and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Montessori Life. AMS-credentialed (Early Childhood).

Sara Knickerbocker

Sara Knickerbocker, PhD, is a school psychology consultant for The CORE Psychology, in Denver, CO, and the former school psychologist for Montessori School of Denver.

Stephanie Flanigan

Stephanie Flanigan, JD, is head of Montessori School of Denver, CO, and president of the Association of Colorado Independent Schools.
