September 1, 2016. The American Montessori Society is helping to underwrite the cost of the keynote speaker for the South Carolina Montessori Alliance Annual Conference, which takes place October 14 – 15 in Swansea, SC.
The keynoter, Dr. Linda Karges-Bone, will speak to the conference’s theme of children in poverty. Dr Karges-Bone is a distinguished professor of education and an educational consultant specializing in Title I schools and brain research. She is the author of more than 30 books including, most recently, Rich Brain, Poor Brain: Bridging Social and Synaptic Gaps in Schools.
The South Carolina Montessori Alliance is a non-profit leadership organization of individuals representing public and private Montessori schools.
We are pleased to be able to extend a helping hand to our South Carolina Montessori colleagues and to support their efforts to provide professional development and champion social justice.
