August 9, 2016. The American Montessori Society has signed an agreement to be a cooperating organization with the 28th International Montessori Congress, to be held July 27 – 30, 2017, in Prague, Czech Republic.
As a cooperating organization, AMS is joining forces with other leaders in the community in support of the Congress theme— “Pathway to Peace: Montessori Education for Social Change”—and the Congress mission:
The Congress will demonstrate that Montessori is an educational approach guided by the natural laws of human development, which enables all human beings to become agents of positive social change, and in the long term can lead to a more harmonious and peaceful world.
The International Montessori Congress is being held under the auspices of the Association Montessori Internationale, founded in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori to maintain the integrity of her life’s work and to ensure that it continue after her death.
Those wishing to submit abstracts for the Congress may do so now through January 31, 2017. There is also an open call for research posters.
