AMS is happy to announce the keynote speakers for its 2012 Annual Conference. Joining us in San Francisco, March 15 - 18, are 4 distinguished education professionals whose work embodies the ideas and spirit of Maria Montessori's philosophy. 2012 Annual Confrerence Keynote SpeakersChandra Fernando
Chandra is this year's AMS Living Legacy. For more than 50 years, she has devoted herself to the Montessori Movement both professionally and as a volunteer.

Brené Brown, PhD, LMSW
Brené is a professor and researcher at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. A noted author, her areas of expertise include vulnerability, courage, shame, and empathy.

Ann Lieberman, EdD
Ann is widely known for her work in teacher leadership and development. She is a professor emeritus at Columbia University and a senior scholar at Stanford University.

Brian Swimme, PhD
Brian is director for the Center for the Story of the Universe and a professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He has written extensively on evolutionary cosmology and the nature of the universe.
